Before starting LEW, Andy and his father Keith were electricians with their own contracting business. When Andy took over management of LEW he brought first-hand experience of the pressures electricians face and an understanding of the vital role a dependable wholesaler plays in the supply of products and services for contractors.
What started as a small wholesaler in Gainsborough has grown into the largest independent electrical wholesaler in the North of England, and one of the largest in the UK. Our success has been driven by the hard work, dedication and skill of our staff who share a common goal of providing the best possible service that our customers can rely on.

Purchasing power and representation
As members of AWEBB we benefit from the increased purchasing power and collective representation of one of the UK’s leading independent buying consortiums, with access to an additional 10,000 sq ft of storage space and £600,000 of stock as part of the ElectraCentre Distribution (ECD) network.
We take advantage of AWEBB’s bulk pricing agreements and strengthened relationships with key supplier partners. This allows us to maintain our core values and services as an independent wholesaler whilst operating with the purchasing power and infrastructure recognisable of a national organisation.
